Yep, I wouldn’t do anything that jeopardized matching funds, since that’s a guaranteed return on your money. Many companies no longer match since 2008. But if they do, it’s a beautiful thing. It’s like them paying you more to work there. Or paying you more to invest in your future. So, it’s a way to force a raise…by contributing to whatever they’ll match up to, at least.
