Andrew, if you sold puts to open, then you can get “put the stock” at your strike price.
If you bought puts, then the stock drop would have actually favored you. So that’s why I’m thinking you sold puts. When you sell them…it’s not Ameritrade putting them to you. It’s you entering into an agreement to have the stock put to you and its why you get income for doing so.
